Our most notable and unique fundraising activity from ICSV are most definitely the classes that our members organize and teach each year in the fall. It is a partnership with the Boys and Girls Club of the Peninsula (BGCP).

The first math class in 2017 (first two) and the math and game design classes in 2018 (next four)
It all started when Eddie Wang, a former president, noticed a disparity right near his home. He learned that in his neighboring city, East Palo Alto, over 60% of the students do not own their own laptop. While in his town, Palo Alto, practically all of his friends and peers have their own laptop. It was a huge opportunity gap, and through Eddie's eyes it was simply unacceptable. He then contacted the Boys and Girls Club of the Peninsula, a place where over 300 kids congregated after school each day, and offered to donate Chromebooks to their club. They happily agreed, and in 2017, Eddie opened a math class, raising over $1,400. Due to the success, more ICSV members wanted to open their own classes, and in 2018, two classes were opened.
