Teachers
Cindy Wang (originator of the ICSV classes tradition)
Chairman and teacher I co-founded and worked as a part of the teaching project since 2017. It is my pleasure to be able to be a part of this project for four years. With the money fundraised from the teaching projects, we have bought 32 new computers to donate to Boys and Girls Clubs. This project not only can help members explore their interests and encourage charity work, but it also helps the youth in East Palo Alto to have access to technology so they can pursue their academic hobbies and easily finish their homework. The project will continue to benefit more students in different locations. Lucian Z.
Manager and teacher Geography Bee Tutoring Hello, my name is Lucian Z. This year, I will be attending Palo Alto High School as a freshman. My passion for learning geography started at a young age, and I have since participated in geography bees since 4th grade. I have won the school geography bee four times, and I placed 7th in the whole state in California in 2018. Although I’ve grown out of the geography bee, I want to give back as a mentor to kids who are interested in competing and help develop their authentic interests. |

Jonathan Pei Intro to Java Programming Preview to Algebra 1 Hi! I’m Jonathan Pei, a junior at Palo Alto High School who finds mathematics both intriguing and puzzling. I like to spend my free time playing water polo, drowning in video games, heading out with friends, reading books, and doing math for fun. In this Algebra 1 course, students learn about expression manipulation, linear equations, quadratic equations, graphing, inequalities, functions, exponents, absolute values, irrationals, and radicals. Furthermore, this class places a heavy emphasis on applying learnt algebraic skills to real-life situations. Oscar Li
